The Coast of Ecuador

Basic Guayaquil

Guayaquil, the commercial capital of Ecuador, is a lively mixture of animated trading and cosmopolitan life. Guayaquil is one of the busiest ports on the South American Pacific Coastline. Take a walk through the turn-of-the-century neighborhood, Las Peñas, passing by the bustling river front, the splendid Moorish clock tower and the Rotonda.

Machalilla National Park

Depart by plane from Quito or by bus from Guayaquil to the Pacific Beaches. Accommodation at an ecological hotel in Machalilla, visit the archaeological sites and the museums of Salango and Agua Blanca. You could also enjoy the white sands of Los Frailes beach or a tour to the Island of La Plata known as "little Galapagos".

The Millennial Coast

Depart by plane from Quito or by bus from Guayaquil to the Pacific Beaches. Discover Bahía, a coastal city of history, culture and natural beauty.
